Just got back from Pure Barre. it has been way too long since I exercised. Not sure if I really like it though. Some of the exercises go completely against my ballet training, but the total body workout is pretty fabulous. I just wish there were more and longer stretching exercises.

I use the fitness center at my apartment complex, which is mediocre at best, but it’s free so why not. This “fitness center” has two treadmills (only one that you can actually run on), an elliptical and a stationary bike, a few free weights and a weight machine. I get home from class yesterday and was really excited to go to the gym, we get down there and the good treadmill and the elliptical have “out of order” signs on them. We pay too much for them to have machines out of order.
I can get a free membership at school, but it’s almost 20 minutes away and they only stay open until 7pm which really puts a damper on things. I e-mailed Anytime fitness about prices and they emailed me back with some general come check it out and we can get prices for you. NO, just tell me how much it costs before I waste my time and fall in love with a place just to find out it’s $100/month.
On another note, I really want to try the Pure Barre class that’s in my city. I just can’t justify paying $20 a class for something if I don’t know if I’m going to like it. I wish they would do a free introduction class again..
After you try PB once you’ll never want to go back!
The Freaking Weekend… Well… ALMOST
At 11:00pm this evening my weekend STARTS!!!! I have a VERY busy weekend, but I am making lots of time for yoga, running, and Pure Barre. I just bounced back from a DIS-GUST-ING stomach flu, and it opened my eyes to my eating and exercise habits. Both need to be improved, STAT! So, thank you Lululemon of North Hills, I WILL be taking you up on that free in studio yoga class at 11:00 and I will be washing it down with a free Pure Barre class at 1:30pm. Wish me luck!
Oh, and ladies, in case you live in Raleigh, join me! The whole month of April Lululemon is giving free Pure Barre classes. You just have to contact the studio to sign up! They also have LOTS of other great community events, check out their April calendar HERE.
With all of this being said, here is my goal for the remainder of April.
*Stay motivate. Exercise even when I don’t have a class to go to.
*Join run clubs around Raleigh. This will keep me accountable and Motivated.
*Eat better. Whole.
*Enjoy my days off. Preferable outside, and active.
Have a GREAT weekend Loves!!!! Oh, and enjoy the picture montage.

Pure Barre Class 10
so I just got back form spring break and my 2 month unlimited expires on saturday (so sad!) so I’ve been making appoint to go this week…however…since i skipped a solid week, these past two classes have been putting me to shammmee.
PLUS, they switched up the routine so we do the warmup with the balls in-between our thighs and good god does that amp it up.
i hurt so good.
Did anyone go to the retreat last weekend?
My body hurts.
Pure Barre kicked my ass this week. I can’t laugh or even breath without my abs hurting.
My policy always is, if I’m not hurting or sore after my workout..I didn’t workout hard enough.
Good job lady!
